Description

Being a British Citizen is a requirement for a person to live and work as well as enjoy the benefits such as public funds and the National Health Service (NHS).
We know that there are 6 different forms of British Citizenship, however only one, which is a person holding British Citizen can enjoy the full enjoyment of being in the UK. The other 5 have connections to the British Empire and does not allow the automatic benefits of living and working in the UK, unless you acquire ILR through the Immigration Act 1971.
At ICS Legal, we can advise you on how to meet the British Nationality Act 1981 or whether you have a claim to become a British Citizen. Usually, you can apply for a British passport confirming your British Citizenship, however in other cases, you will need to make a formal British Nationality application using the prescribed forms. Unlike, the Immigration Act 1971, the onus is on you to choose the right form and the right pathway to apply.
As the British Nationality Act 1948 continues to impact applications, a person must ensure whether they have also lost their rights to become a British Citizen either the country of residency have become independent from the British Empire or through legislation changes. In all cases, we advise that you seek specialist legal advice on the British Citizenship application.
When you ask ICS Legal to help on your British Citizenship application, we will provide you with the following:
1. Provide legal advice throughout the life cycle of the British Nationality application.
2. Advice on the evidences required.
3. Checking of your documents to make sure the specified policy law is met. The British Nationality Act 1981 is very strict on its policy.
4. Complete the relevant application forms for British Citizenship.
5. Draft the legal policy to demonstrate how the person is claiming for British Citizenship.
6. Submission and directions on attendance at the service centres.
The application form required to complete the British Nationality application must be completed correctly and with the right information.
